The Incredible Hulk

HULK SMASH!!!! Very well done and awesome. The movie doesn’t bore you with the whole, “how did he get like this” crap. They use the opening credits to shortly explain and show what happened to Bruce Banner to make him this green giant. After that, it takes you directly to Edward Norton living in hiding and on the run in Brazil. Edward Norton pulls off an amazing portrayal of Bruce Banner and his inner struggle with the green monster. He has successfully thwarted The US Army and William Hurt’s character for 5 months. This is until a drop of his blood accidently gets spilled and winds up in a bottle of Brazilian soda.
With a cameo from Mister Stan Lee himself drinking it, and receiving slight gamma poisoning, this leads the General to track down where Banner is hiding. In an extremely well done and exciting chase scene, Banner and a few military special ops commandos, tear across rooftops while Banner periodically stops to try and calm his heart rate. They corner him in the bottling plant and he loses control. They tease you with this encounter, showing shadows and glimpses of the Hulking Monster that we want to see kick some tail.
The encounter ends and Banner wakes up in the middle of the jungle wearing only a pair of torn jeans. He makes his way back to America to seek out Betty, his love that he had to leave to protect. One of the soldiers is intrigued by the Hulk and wants another shot at him. He becomes a super soldier, infused with a small does of the same stuff as Banner. This turns into my favorite scene from the movie, The Hulk versus the military, soldiers, tanks, choppers, and Bolsky, the super soldier. Crazy awesome with the effects and the fighting.
Everything leads to a climactic battle with Bolsky craving the serum to much which turns him into the much too talkative Abomination. The battle between these two goliaths is epic and extremely well done. The graphics and the some of the sequences are pure eye candy. They make you want to root for the green guy. Very well done and a must see for fans and non fans alike.
At the end of the movie there is also a special appearance of Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark. (Iron Man) which hints to a future movie that could perhaps be ….. Justice League, Freakin’ Awesome.Overall 4 out of 5 on the awesomeness scale
